It was in 1985, when a colleague gifted me the book and the floppy. (Buying the book gave you a licence). Later I wrote a program to learn any language with. It compiled on Windows to a .com program. When MS phased out .com programs, I had to convert it to some Free pascal version, who could compile .exe progs. Still usable under Win 10.
