- Embed this notice@Griffith It's a scam. Your insurance company stiffed them and despite the fact that legally you're all paid up, they try and trick you into thinking that you "owe the difference". No, that's not how it works. The oral contract you made with the hospital specified "payment for services". There was no estimate. There was no unit pricing. You received services and they received payment. That was the deal and you fulfilled it. The bean counters running the health care industry need to be thrown into a volcano.
