@charliebrownau @Codeki lol ever heard of the word Empire? There has been a few of them prior to 1750. Most of which were none of the things you described.

The way I see it is there are 4 classes of people in society. Merchant, Warrior, Priest, and Plebeian. At any one point in history, a civilization has one of these classes in power, backed by another, at the expense of the other 2. At least that seems to be the general sway of political power.
