@monsterislandcolonizer @D-Droid @jimmybuffettfanaccount @jjetty Eventually the concept of "regional capitals" are going to make an appearance, certain think tanks are already broaching the idea, the feds think it'll be a way to still exert influence over the country as it fractures into distinct, and eventually explicitly racial power blocks but really all that'll do is give said power blocks centralized areas to exert their power in to completely take over the regions of their choosing. The future of the US isn't some tollbooth kingdom setup, it's a slow formation of vaguely unofficial racially/politically distinct fracture states that will continue to exert themselves as the federal government continues to succumb to atrophy and decay.
