@greyknight33 @PakkonenCT Here is math marked up to explain how it all adds up. The dotted 8th followed by a 16th (beats 2 & 4 of the bass clef) gives a kind of gallop feel. long short long short, etc. The treble melody is crazy like that because it's offset by a single 16th note. This is called syncopation. the treble notes fall inbetween the bass notes.
