I take an anti-fragility approach to my kids, and I think the world should accommodate me by not having stupid insane animals with alligator jaws in neighborhood yards. A lawnmower will not dart through a crowd of people and suddenly attack a child spontaneously, but a dog may. I reject the "all breeds" argument, because I've been around dogs most of my life. They have distinct innate characteristics. Hang out with a sheepdog and watch as it tries to herd you or the kids. A bird dog will point and go stiff at the sight of a bird without any training because of its instinct. A working dog, is always happy when working and fulfilling it's purpose. A pitbull has decades of a purpose bred into it that neither it nor society deserves to be burdened with, and that's a valid reason for caution and potential restrictions. I'd be okay if pitbulls required a special license; treat them like a concealed carry. I find no hypocrisy with that because the purpose of the second amendment per the actual authors is to show you're not a slave (symbolic), protect yourself and nation/state, and literally overthrow the government should they become tyrannical.
