There's a reason Obama built his campaign on marketing "HOPE" & "YES WE CAN" to voters. Without it, apathy & disillusionment breed. And then politicians wonder why turnout flags. Upbraiding voters is not as effective as inspiring them - just a lot easier for the people who want to win elections.
