@dragestil That depends how far the national park is from a town or train station really - more than 5 km would be a bit too far, as that would add >10km to any national park walks.

Putting a walkway and cycle path next to the road shouldn't be too difficult even so - that would really only consist of making the road a bit wider (or the lanes a bit narrower) and placing the road barriers to separate the path.
