@lizzie @KoizKoiz @atlrvrse vtuber spaces are the same as weeb spaces, where vtubers were even less targetted to a foreign audience than most anime, and thats notoriously a thing in japan, and also vtubers are such a chronically online thing its historically a lot of overlap with neets/2ch, so yknow, even worse of that culture of that being a thing, and they still maintain that, even with the en stuff
i mean, gura is the largest and she's a massive open lolicon, nyanners is the "pomf pomf kimochi" girl, a lot of vtubers are quite channery and in general the stuff maintained that same level of 2ch like chronically online behaviour. i mean, the biggest space for anything vtuber related is without a doubt /vt/ on 4chan and the rest fairly suck
also i think it's less so a vtuber thing but moreso a channer thing, it was a big meme especially on channery side of things, and vtubers just overlap massively as i said
