@izaya @mel bits tend to make the screwdriver thicker, which limits its application in tight spaces, on the opposite spectrum sometimes you need two screwdrivers or just a very big one (or in case of hex heads, an allen key), and sometimes you just need a piece of metal to scrape something off or short some pins, or pick something, in all of which cases those excel.
