@OfInterist nope. it's based on how many people are subscribed. pleroma has a massive bug where if you have too many people subscribed to your account you cant insert a new status because the backend just cant keep up with the notifications. in order to mitigate this we put in a background worker that makes the deliveries in the background. thats why its variously delayed. its dependent on how many people are subscribed. maybe there's a better way we can do this @alex
