   hey @graf there are a few profiles i have subscribe notifs on for (all poast accounts). They work perfect for Trig and Xan, notification right away every time when they post. For Jim its always delayed about 5 - 10 minutes. For Kinochet, its hit or miss - sometimes i get notified, sometimes i dont. Is there anything I can do about this? its funny its profile specific and not a mixed bag all around.

     @OfInterist nope. it's based on how many people are subscribed. pleroma has a massive bug where if you have too many people subscribed to your account you cant insert a new status because the backend just cant keep up with the notifications. in order to mitigate this we put in a background worker that makes the deliveries in the background. thats why its variously delayed. its dependent on how many people are subscribed. maybe there's a better way we can do this @alex

     I wonder how Mastodon does it. It takes a long time cuz, if you have eg 10,000 subscribers, it has to create a notification for each of them one-by-one for every post you make.

     @alex our database isnt bogged down as much anymore so i increased the notifications queue substantially to handle it for now @OfInterist let me know if that speeds it up any
