@kirby @Zerglingman @iamtakingiteasy @lina @ruina Mainly that you can get historical data and you can get it without hitting the origin server, so it works even if the origin server is down or otherwise inaccessible to you, and it abstracts away some of the differences that Misskey/Friendica/whatever have. The idea is mostly to give people useful data about fedi.
