@LadyMont @sandalphon @Piss_Ant A different attitude about the dentist. Here we are STRONGLY encouraged to care for and clean teeth A LOT. There are tons of dentists, few with waiting lists.

A lot of people have some kind of even partial insurance at least for the basics. Also there are charity and teaching clinic dentists so almost everyone can afford it. If you are First Nations - under some conditions, even reconstructive work is free.

(We had an uncle who was a dentist and then as soon as I started a decent job, it covered part. I have some good insurance now because I was considered a person with disabilities 20 yrs ago. I have spent tons my on my teeth but now it's free as I'm old. I had three implants in Thailand. I hate DENTISTS!!! Love my teeth. My dentist in Thailand was ok. He was a nice guy and also the dentist to the king who died in 2016. People in Thailand have good teeth and take care of them as it's pretty cheap. Braces in Thailand are a fashion item and come in a whole bunch of different colours. In Japan, people have 80% insurance but many have terribly neglected mouths due to fear. I had a lot of work done there too. I once kicked a dentist [in Canada]! When he drilled into my gum. Dang I should write a book.)
