It was just so far ahead of other 3D games at the time when it first came out, and even today it's in many ways just straight up superior to modern Zelda games. And if we're gonna bring up reviews and awards, OoT was basically the Nadia Comăneci of video games, receiving the first-ever Perfect scores from a whole bunch of different publications. Again, it was just so far ahead of its time that even retarded gaming journalists realized it was something special.

It's not my *personal* favorite game of all time tho, that would be Xenoblade Chronicles 1.
