Now, I have identified two issues here.

Firstly, and easy to fix: The tower needs to be more rigid, I'll laser some acrylic parts for that tomorrow.

Secondly:
Bit of a fuck up in dimensioning, I didn't take the thickness of the connectors as well as a few other parts into account and might have to cut it a few stages short.
If that doesn't deliver expected output I'll have to buy new threaded rods and a longer tube to contain it all, which would also not be too big of an issue.
