- Embed this notice@Moon I'm personally hurt by this: I looked at bitcoin long, long, long before it was cool, saw that everyone were moneygrubbers and scammers, and moved on.
I would have grubbed *so much* money if I'd picked up bitcoin at that point, but the corruption was too evident: people were offering goods and services for bitcoin and getting censored because they were taking bitcoin for 'too little', people were saying economically crazy stuff like "bitcoin's value is derived from its energy costs".
On the other hand, bad publicity is publicity. I'm hearing a lot less about crypto in general since Ethereum left proof-of-work to escape the "burning jungles for NFTs" meme
