Floaty Birb@mekkaokereke I keep hearing about a pattern where the book ban people open by justifying their book bans with open homophobia but then quietly branch off into racism. They start by saying they don't want their children to be exposed to the evil gay agenda, but most of the books they ban end up having more BIPOC leads (or themes) than queer ones.
It's almost like they know open racism isn't as popular as open homophobia and so they lead with the more acceptable form of bigotry.
