Do you think it was easy for Jerome to suddenly be called a killer and threatened by every patrician around? For all we know that death sparked a major revival in the church even if it started from a few people hate-attending to get a good look at the guy they blamed. And here's the other thing: I never said Jerome was infallible. I'm not even sure this wasn't a mistake.
