If any of the church fathers are speaking blasphemous stuff that doesn't jive with the Bible, cast it into the fire. Instead what I see with my own two eyes is people saying
>WHERE IS [X RELIGIOUS PRACTICE THAT YOU DON'T CONSIDER ESSENTIAL FOR YOUR SALVATION BUT IMPORTANT FOR ONE OF MANY OTHER REASONS] FOUND IN THE BIBLE? NOT THERE, HUH? HERETIC!
I see this daily on fedi. I saw it all the time when I was young, and it was one of the many things that made me leave the church for a while.
