You're missing a lot of Christian history with that type of view. Chrystostom has an 8 part homily titled "Against the Jews" and he was exiled for standing up against heresy. The liturgy he created is still used 1600 years later. Every part of it has deliberate intentional meaning and symbolism. To equate respect for that with suicide cults is ignorant and insulting.
