Because IMHO it becomes more likely by the week.
The indicments keep piling up. And at some point, anyone breaks.
I am quite positive, for instance, that the NY ruling was a huge mental blow to #TFG, more than he has shown.

One thing that would probably not happen in this "incapacitated" scenario is riots in the street. Nobody can be faulted for his health/age.

Also, why engage in it? Well, if it works, it might make sense for some politically interested prosecutors to speed up..
