- Embed this notice@meso @Moon the problem is that css is nowadays wearing two pairs of shoes, one is "styling arbitrary (text) content consistently" and one is "placing specific unique elements in similar spots on wildly varying screen sizes", and the underlying markup kind of does the same. and all you really have for the latter is grid/flexbox (which kind of work most of the time) or javascript (for all the other cases), but you constantly butt into bullshit like formatting of html ending up inserting "empty" (whitespace) text nodes into your user interface that fuck with selectors, so in the end you need to annotate your elements with classes lest some automatic code formatter fucks up your entire stylesheet randomly because a ruleset changed or a line is too long because you changed it.
