- Embed this notice@grum999 @davidrevoy don't jump to conclusions, it could have been made by people who already contribute but anonymously or in a way that krita doesn't track. IMO you're overreacting - it's a plugin that users have to install manually, it's not like it's a virus that automatically injects into every krita installation it can find just to do this. If some distro or someone bundles it in by default - that's a different question.
Remember than not everyone can contribute financially, not everyone can contribute in a meaningful way at all. Banner serves two purposes - deliver a message and be a link/reference for contibution/donation page. Once message is delivered some people might prefer to not see it again and I see nothing wrong with that.

quite on the contrary, the banner will remain forever but will be useless, necessitating the existence of plugin for those still using in this apocalyptic scenario.
