Eugen Rochko@tvler @heluecht Webfinger is not part of ActivityPub per se. It's just necessary for any current practical implementation. ActivityPub intentionally left a lot of parts out. It was easier to get it through the standards process that way. One reason someone might dislike Webfinger is the limitations it introduces, such as having to have a unique username per domain.
