The switch was the new Jack Daniels bonded 50% type and $10 mix drinks. Bottle was bombed intentional as a party bottle and I was the original target. Others that I'd shouted drinks were also drugged and subsequently raised it with the venue. The last time I was hit was at my table and a decoy distraction cause I'd changed to coke in a glass bottle only cause my first drink was on the house and it burnt my tongue instantly on tasting it. By then it was bottom of the bottle remnants. The suss part was the post mix coke on tap going into the glasses once the bombed liquor was already in the glass. It foamed up a good load at the top of the glasses. I handed the last bombed drink to the decoy distraction person and even walked up to the bar and asked the barman to top up the soda and walked out of the venue with a bombed coke bottle.
It's not hard for a smart person to get toxicology reporting done, considering I'd been admitted to hospital 3 times prior and had evidence in my hand leaving the venue.
Went back to the venue and spoke to management after calling it out verbally in front of patrons that I'd been drugged.
Simply asked one question: How long do you keep your CCTV footage for security purposes?
He replied: 30 days.
I drape a massive all teeth smile and say thank you and turnstile around the opposite direction and out of there.
I go back to said venue over the last three days, been close to almost 2 weeks since it last happened 4th September.
The whispers and scant attention from regulars is edgy exciting waiting for their responses.
I refuse any calls from bar staff for drinks and start manically laughing while doing my usual greyhound or harness racing betting to where they serve you in the same region of the bar at machines for fixture betting.
Let the bar staff talk amongst themselves for a few days and wait to be confronted by the suspect barmaid in question who's magically been absent the entire week prior.
Yesterday I'm asked flat out why haven't I reported it to police. More maniacal laughing ensues and I get a rendition version of an Oscars performance setting from a dried up barmaid that's been working it since 1981 at the same venue.
Report to police, nah, why would I need to do such a thing when I've already seen management and asked how long he keeps his CCTV footage.
I'm given back repetitive blinking and shock faces by now two bar staff as to witness her asking me something to report back to management.
I sternly reply that I'm not obliged to give details pertaining to influencing factors that affect solely myself and the decision making process to report a crime committed.
If I've been made aware of the fact by an authority higher than civilian to local cops, surely they're responsible for garnering to gather surveillance, not local cops?
She's just stammering open mouth by now insisting she had nothing to do with it, although I've not directly or indirectly laid any blame towards anyone names in particular.
Police usually turn up and seek camera footage, if there's an incident reported.
Again, I remind her I'm not obliged nor can be fished for information relating to an offense that occured against me in a licensed venue.
Licensed venues have responsibilities to patrons.
Once the question was asked of management how long footage is kept for that's where I dropped it, I inform her.
So police aren't investigating she asks again?
By now I'm very stern and direct. It's feds that informed me, so if you'd like to keep fishing, go right ahead. Make note that someone has responsibility for my duty of care, given the negligence the venue here provided me as a patron.
Patrons aren't obligated to disclose if they're civilians or otherwise. All patrons are the responsibility of the venue, it's part of liquor and licensed venues.
To be honest, I'm now enjoying going back in there with a sassy grin on my face and attitude.
I can gamble and take their money, doesn't mean I have to drink there.
