For me the only reason I've kept engaging with the whole bad space controversy as long as I have is not because the original mistake is that heinous — falsely accusing trans women of racism and isolating them is pretty fucking bad when trans women are basically the most gleefully vilified minority right now, and the absolute most acceptable punching bag and scapegoat for everyone, even in nominally leftist or progressive spaces where it's not okay to use anyone else like that, who are actively experiencing the start of a genocide is pretty heinous tho — but because the response from Ro and his supporters to the original outcry has been so constantly disingenuous and dismissive and downplaying and honestly often queerophobic and transphobic in the way the rhetoric is framed and genuinely just so thoughtful of specious arguments that it just makes my impression of the entire Enterprise and the people associate with it get worse and worse and worse and I feel like as someone with a lot of experience dissecting arguments and analyzing rhetoric I kind of have to make sure people understand just how disingenuous it all is
