   For me the only reason I've kept engaging with the whole bad space controversy as long as I have is not because the original mistake is that heinous — falsely accusing trans women of racism and isolating them is pretty fucking bad when trans women are basically the most gleefully vilified minority right now, and the absolute most acceptable punching bag and scapegoat for everyone, even in nominally leftist or progressive spaces where it's not okay to use anyone else like that, who are actively experiencing the start of a genocide is pretty heinous tho — but because the response from Ro and his supporters to the original outcry has been so constantly disingenuous and dismissive and downplaying and honestly often queerophobic and transphobic in the way the rhetoric is framed and genuinely just so thoughtful of specious arguments that it just makes my impression of the entire Enterprise and the people associate with it get worse and worse and worse and I feel like as someone with a lot of experience dissecting arguments and analyzing rhetoric I kind of have to make sure people understand just how disingenuous it all is

     Like I'm honestly really sorry to the black folks here for the experience you've had, and I can't imagine how much this sucks for you right now, but that doesn't make Ro right.

     I've seen a lot of black people talking about how the best way to actually be an ally to black people and wash yourself clear of whiteness and racism is to actually lend material active support to black people's efforts for liberation and safety, so if anyone can point me to a fediverse safety effort led by BIPOC to deal with racism, lmk, I have some extra money this month, I can donate. Seriously. And this isn't a virtue signal either, I donate to causes I believe in, and so I WANT to lend support to a project that's solving this problem that isn't as massively FUBAR as the bad space is. Also, I am a programmer, so if you need technical support, I might be able to help (in a couple weeks when my disability let's up and I can function besides posting online again)
