Even Scooby Doo writers have more subtlety than that when it comes to obvious culprits. Then throw in the fact that one of the guys funding the lab, Peter Daszak, was sent there by the WHO to do an investigation on the virus origins, and he concluded the lab had nothing to do with it. It just doesn't get more open and shut.
