@otyugh Firefox is a paid compediter to chrome so google can point out that there's another browser that's certainly not controlled by google.
You may want to re-read, as the article actually says that firefox for iOS uses webkit.
Apple requires that all web browsers must be proprietary and use their proprietary webengine (webkit), so to have "firefox" on iOS, the developers needed to make it use webkit.
