Sir Funk ??@ned yeah, but the Japanese are like the Italians, in that they’ll just add a vowel on the end. A in Italy, O in japan as a rule. But the Chinese have to make a bigger change to the word to grasp it, I think because they have more sounds to choose from so don’t chop things up so much to get the same info density.
