Then it hits you with a major game-changing twist that makes everything way better and more interesting, keeps building and building until the amazing Spirit Temple, then gives you a final pseudo-dungeon that forces you to make use of all the skills and knowledge you learned throughout the game, followed by a truly epic final boss.
It's good from the beginning, but keeps building and getting better from start to finish. Majora's Mask also saves its best temple for last - something I don't think applies to any of the other 3D Zeldas.
