@jeffcliff @Boomerman @mark The status of roe v wade was maintained because overturning precedent is itself a bad precedent and is indicative of a decline in the belief in the rule of law.
When any law can be overturned, there is no law. However, rule of law was always a myth. The law is whatever it's interpreter says it is, it is never some objective neutral arbiter.
