DMing people on Twitter isn't any more normal than using a free dating app and sifting through the bots. I'd argue it's less normal because at least on a dating app, you make your intentions obvious from the start. And maybe that's the problem: women, by nature, seem to be very unwilling to be direct and honest. The idea of sitting down and creating an honest profile for yourself is like Kryptonite to them. They'd rather just go apply more makeup and take Myspace angle photos for Instagram likes.
