In a capitalist system anyone with the knowhow could open a bank, practice medicine, law, engineering, be an electrician or a plumber, or devise a payment processing system.
It's all about who you know because you simply can't get anything done without the state greasing the skids or at least getting out of the way.
In a free market restrictive covenants were a thing. You could have an eternally jew-free neighborhood as covenants were theoretically perpetual.
