We've been pretty downwind from the dump ever since the EU made better privacy laws than the US has had. The GDPR now leads the way in giving individual citizens liberties.

I anticipate 1850's-style crap, followed by something like that one little war in 1861. The result of it will probably give the proles even *more* liberties.

Never underestimate the power of the unwashed masses.
