- Embed this notice@tyil I've had this conversation a lot lately with some younger guys I talk with. Showering before vs after work is not as important as being satisfied with your job and having the life outside of work that you want. Work as life is only viable for some people, and most of them don't ever find happiness even if they have better material conditions. There are welders who work half the year (lots of OT) living in fifth-wheel trailers and still earn 100k+. You can certainly be creative and find ways to make good money if you're capable. It sucks that people have to work that hard to have a lifestyle which should otherwise be much more attainable, but that's another issue.
