@GabeLakmann @DemonSixOne I've been trying to pound the point across to people IRL that market economies ≠ capitalism and they've existed since before them concept of fiat currency, bonds, or stonks. Capitalism is the very specific thing where you let a market economy get overtaken by a nepotistic oligarchy who influences your government once they become dependent on the tax revenue, while slowly peeling it away so the burden shifts to the population. It comes in as a symbiote and settles in as a parasite.
