both parties champion identity politics bullshit, but when it comes down to shit that actually matters, neither wants to bring down hierarchies of any kinda, both do corporate bailouts and corporate capitalism, both do everything they can to ensure the hierarchy stay and people stay in power, while both just fuel the wealth and protect those in higher class from middle and from lower. to put simply, they both do everything they can to support the current right wing hierarchy and the elites. they both do all they can to help these coporations and lobblylists to enact their policies in benefit, which rarely helps, but pushes even more hierarchy in the sense of corporate structure and need this higher status to afford better lawyers to even keep up.
thats obviously not the only possible right wing system, theres much more just ones, but it is assuradely as right wing as it comes. nobody is pushing actual leftist policies in the u.s. except, i suppose, bernie sanders, who is just barely a leftist if so.
and to respond to your point about "right wing in the context of america", thats literally exactly the point i was making of people being manipulated into supporting near identical shit. you're as brainwashed as any other american left or right.
and the replacement identity politics is not a left right issue in the slightest, thats just manufactured outrage so people dont get outraged at the actual injustices
