Absolutely true, they don't even need to fully scrub things, just obfuscate the searches and it'll never be found. I think most people have noticed how bad search engines have gotten. Additionally, we've seen archive get comped and constantly scrubbed. I'd say at a bare minimum people should get familiar with wget, yt-dlp, and savepage for personal archives.
