I don't think it should be encouraged either, but if my daughter wants to marry a dude who has his stuff together completely and is 28 when she's 18, she has my blessing. I have a lot of other criteria for what constitutes "having stuff together", and quite a lot of it involves his religious commitments and lifestyle.
