@rlier23 @sjw @ArdainianRight @William_The_Dragonborn @coolboymew @noyoushutthefuckupdad There are some legitimate arguments for FE characters getting plenty of slots - the series has a whole bunch of games with different Lords and unique casts of characters, those Lords are actual *characters* with fans that care about them, and they're characters well-suited for a fighting game (unlike, say, the Animal Crossing cast).

I think you could definitely justify 5-6 FE characters in Smash Ultimate, though I'd have Hector or Lyn instead of Roy, no Chrom and no Lucina. Corrin is a hard one, because as a fighter she's very fun and unique, but as a character even plenty of FE fans dislike her, and she was only added to Smash 4 to shill Fates.
