Knut Morå@forteller the latter is in itself a huge problem-- they look the same! How can you tell if they are different instances? People who have been here a few months will see it quick, but how do you tell new people that only _one_ of these similar looking pages (that you might get to clicking on a link from your friend!) is the one you should log into?
