After the first time I ran into child porn on the internet (surprise: it was on 4chan in like 2009) I enabled full disk encryption on all my computers. Not going to go to prison because I got swatted and they took my drives and started looking for deleted files that matches CSAM hashes.

It's a terrifying concept. It would be so easy to frame someone, and there's almost zero recourse.


I know of one guy who ran a fediverse server and shut it down because it was spammed with child porn one night so he had to shut down the physical server and hand it over to the FBI
