@vriska @shibao actors are sometimes derided as being effete and slave to passion, or even being lazy or worthless. but I think about the best actors and how they will do things like learn everything they can about a person they are playing, or seemingly without effort can lose or gain weight or muscle for a role, learn a language. it is impressive and its something that for a long time I had no appreciation for and sometimes felt superior to, yet it's something I am not capable of doing.
