Yes... this is very important, but people miss this all the time (because this is what we are taught in schools), thinking some idols will always do good for them (and asking nothing in return). It's not the "With great power comes great responsibility", it's the opposite.

This isn't hard to understand, if you imagine yourself being a superhuman while others being weak cattle. You can do whatever you want, whether it's good to them or not (and the "bad" aspect only applies to the victims, to the abuser it's often beneficial). Because the cattle can never stop you. Even if that superhuman is really a good guy, he cannot care all the needs from different parties, but you are you, you owe nothing to them.

It's easier said than done, but the first step is to get some power yourself, make yourself as independent as you can and be alert to those superpowers (governments, corporations, political parties...).
