The schools in the NY area are pretty open about this history-- they want to "fix things" in that US Liberal kind of way where they *want* to fix it... but also don't want to change "too much"
-I think they were annoyed I didn't want to stay, they have trouble holding on to non-white teachers.
I don't have the energy to fix all that AND teach math.
Got a lot out of the ideas on art in math-- there are some great mathematicians in that community. Particularly in projective geometry.
