@Moon @Suiseiseki I did say it isn't a copyright thing, if it had to be a law thing it would be with moral rights, which is maybe why Gosling's code got removed.
It's a history thing, literally the "I made this" meme, quite like if somehow Pleroma or Mastodon would claim they wrote the fediverse.
