Follow people. Just follow people. They will boost other people. You will start seeing stuff from the people they interact with. Some of it will be stuff you find interesting. Follow those people. Repeat.

How do people make friends out there in real life? You’re doing the internet equivalent of sitting in your flat and complaining that everyone else seems to be having parties.

Twitter, Facebook et al are shoving people in your face because they want money, either from you, or by selling you to advertisers.

Pretty much none of us want your money, nor do we want to monetise you for demographic data. We’re doing this because we enjoy it.

But that also means we aren’t going to spoon feed you. If you want to be spoon fed, there exist other networks for that, for now anyway. They seem to be falling to bits as they discover it doesn’t actually work as a long term business model, but whatever.
