Posts aren't searchable, so if you want other people to see what you talk about, use #hashtags liberally.
You can find people with similar interests by searching hashtags. You'll probably want to follow at least 50 people to have a regularly updating feed.
You can also follow hashtags for the subjects you're interested. Highly recommended you pick a couple.
